No WATP on April 16
The Pecks are going to Disney World, so we won't be meeting on April 16. Yup, Erin's all about the princesses. Sean just wants to ride Expedition Everest.

Dryden Community Center Café Grand Opening to Benefit Local Food Pantries
(DRYDEN) – The public is invited to bring a non-perishable food item to Dryden Community Center Café’s Grand Opening on Friday, March 28 to benefit three local food pantries: Dryden Kitchen Cupboard, Freeville Food Pantry and McLean Community Church.
“We feel having the local food pantries benefit from our Grand Opening is a perfect way to celebrate the sense of community the cafe represents, while helping out a most worthy cause,” said Monica Knight, Café vice president. “This is just one of many ways in which we intend to contribute to the community.”
Grand Opening festivities will begin at noon with a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Dryden village and town officials, followed by a variety of kids’ events from 4 to 6 p.m., including a coloring contest, face painting and sports team sign ups; after school teen music from 3 to 5 p.m., and the Ithaca New Orleans Dixieland Band from 7 to 9 p.m. Throughout the day there will be hourly coupon giveaways for free food items. Food and beverages specials will include free coffee samples, $1 ice cream cones and “lottery cupcakes” (buy a cup cake and if yours has a cream filling, you win a free combo meal).
Dryden Community Center Cafe represents a significant step toward what organizers, members and donors hope will contribute to a reawakening of Dryden Village’s Main Street, by creating a place for people to sit back, relax and enjoy good food and drink, local musicians on the stage, local artists on the walls and an eclectic calendar of community member- organized events. The goal has been to create a casual, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. This gathering place for the community will also provide free WiFi access in a computer-friendly environment.
Dryden Community Center Café’s is located at 1 West Main Street, in Dryden Village. The cafe menu offers specialty coffees, roasted locally and ground fresh daily by Coffee Mania, paninis, salads, soups, ice cream and freshly made in-house treats. Café hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Praying for the Larsons
Our friend Kent is sick. He and his wife Naomi are our neighbors. Some of you will know Naomi from the Swing Dance Creative at Foundations. Naomi emailed me from Japan on Thursday to let me know Kent had gotten sick and was in the hospital. Naomi was able to get a flight home today and will get in really late tonight.
Beth and the kids went to visit Kent yesterday. Beth says he seemed tired and not as chipper as usual but was good. Kent and Naomi are great people, the kids love them and we're glad to have them next door. Please be praying for both of them. They really need it right now.

Love is the Movement
We should be reaching out every day to love those who feel isolated, unloved, hopeless, hurting and broken. The reality is that suicide rates increase around Valentine's Day, and there's a group on Facebook, with the support of TWLOHA, calling on people to literally write "love" on their arm on February 13.
Read on for the official post and be sure to visit the event's page on Facebook.
BEFORE YOU ASK “WHAT IS THIS, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?” PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
***********************************************
The truth is that according to the World Health Organization, depression is one of the leading causes of disability, with approximately 121 million people suffering with depression worldwide. The National Institute of Mental Health states that approximately 18 million people suffer from depression in America alone. Depression does not discriminate across age, race, gender, or class. Among teenagers it is estimated that 20 percent will suffer from depression at some point by the time they reach adulthood. There are also as many as 8.3 percent of teens suffering from depression for at least a year at a time, compared to 5.3 percent of the general population.
With the support of TWLOHA (To Write Love On Her Arms), an organization created to spread awareness for teen depression, self-injury, and suicide, we are coming together to make sure the whole world knows. To find out more about TWLOHA visit their Facebook Group here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/To-Write-Love-On-Her-Arms/8529136956.
During the time of year that suicude rates are at their highest, we chose February 13, the day before Valentine's Day, as our opportunity to start showing people how mcuh they are loved. We will physically write the word LOVE on our arms (with a sharpie, or whatever other ink suits you best). If someone asks you what it’s for, tell them about TWLOHA. Tell them they are loved, that they are important. And ask if you can write LOVE on their arm as a symbol of that. Don't be afraid to reach out to those who need love, those who you often walk right by every day. They need our care.
There is NO set time, there is NO set location. Where you are, when you are there, speak out.
Some of us may choose to share the love of God, but we want you to share whatever love is strongest for you. Depression has no boundaries, but neither does our love.
Stop the bleeding. Rescue is possible.
